# Creator Analytics

> See how the templates you've published to the Marketplace are doing, with total and per-template views and copies.

If you publish templates to the [Marketplace](/guides/email-and-templates/marketplace), **Creator Analytics** shows how many people look at them and how many copy them into their own workspaces.

Open it from the sidebar under **Analytics** → **Creator Analytics**.

## Before you start

Creator Analytics needs two things:

1. **A creator profile.** Without one, the page shows **Set Up Your Creator Profile**, and **Go to Settings** opens the creator profile. You can also find it under **Settings** → **Marketplace** → **Creator Profile**: a **Display Name** is required; a bio, avatar, website and X handle are optional.
2. **At least one published template.** Until then, the page shows **No Published Templates Yet**. See [Publish your own template](/guides/email-and-templates/marketplace#publish-your-own-template).

<Note>
  The stats are personal. You see the templates **you** created and published, not every template your workspace has published. Each teammate who publishes has their own Creator Analytics.
</Note>

## What the numbers mean

The three cards at the top add up all your currently published templates:

| Metric              | Meaning                                                                     |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Total Templates** | How many of your templates are published on the Marketplace right now |
| **Total Views** | Views of their Marketplace pages, added together |
| **Total Forks** | How many times they've been copied into someone's workspace, added together |

### How a view is counted

A view is counted when someone opens a template's own page on the Marketplace. Seeing the template as a card in the gallery or in search results doesn't count. The same visitor (identified by a one-way hash of their network address, not a cookie) is counted at most once per hour for each template. Your own visits count too.

### How a fork is counted

A fork is counted each time someone clicks **Add to my templates** and the copy is created in their workspace. Each copy counts, including a second copy by the same person. Trying a template in the playground without adding it doesn't count.

## The template table

Below the cards, **Template Performance** lists each published template with its **Views**, **Forks** and the date it was **Published**. Click a column heading to sort by it; click again to reverse the order. The list starts with the most-viewed template. Click a template's name to open it in the email builder.

The counts are all-time totals since each template was first published. There's no date range or filter on this page.

## How the numbers relate to the Marketplace

* The Marketplace's **Popular** sort orders templates by forks. **Trending** orders templates published in the last 30 days by views.
* A template's public page shows its view and copy counts once they're above zero.

## Unpublishing and republishing

When you **Unpublish** a template, it leaves the Marketplace and drops out of Creator Analytics. Its counts are kept. If you publish it again, it reappears with the same totals and a new **Published** date.

A template is also taken off the Marketplace if a workspace member (not an owner or admin) edits it after it was approved. Get it approved and publish it again to bring it back.

## Earnings

Creator Analytics shows views and forks only. Marketplace templates are free to copy, so there are no sales, earnings or payouts to report.

## Troubleshooting
