Every Ad Studio feature works through a connection to an ad account. Each workspace connects at most one Google Ads account and one Meta ad account. Both connections live on the Integrations page, under Ad Platforms.
Only workspace Owners and Admins can connect, change or disconnect ad accounts. Other members see “Not configured. Ask an admin to connect.” Ad platform connections need the Pro or Enterprise plan.

Connect Google Ads

1

Open Integrations

Go to Settings → Developers → Integrations and scroll to Ad Platforms.
2

Sign in with Google

On the Google Ads card, click Connect Google Ads and sign in with a Google account that has access to your Google Ads account. When you return, a message confirms “Google Ads connected successfully!”.
3

Choose the account

Under Google Ads account, pick the account from the list, then click Save. If the account isn’t listed, choose Another account (enter its ID) and type its customer ID. If no list appears, type the customer ID straight away. You’ll find it at the top right of the Google Ads interface, in the form 123-456-7890.

Accounts under a manager account (MCC)

If you reach the Google Ads account through a manager account, enter the account you advertise from under Google Ads account, and the manager’s ID under Manager account (MCC) ID. Then click Save. Google lists only the accounts you can open directly, so a client account under a manager usually has to be typed. The card then shows “via manager” with the manager’s ID. Leave the field blank if you don’t use a manager account. To stop using one, empty the field and save. Audiences you sync and campaigns you publish are created in this account. If you switch to a different customer ID later, audiences created under the old one stay there, and InstantCampaign can no longer find them. See Verify an audience in Google Ads.

When Google access expires

Google doesn’t say in advance when a sign-in expires, so the card shows what is known:
  • “Google access expires on …”: the connection has a known end date. The text turns amber in the last two days. Click Reconnect before then.
  • “Google access does not expire; reconnect only if Google revokes it.”: nothing to do.
  • Connection expired: Google no longer accepts the connection. Audience syncs and campaign refreshes stop until you click Reconnect.
Reconnect runs the Google sign-in again and replaces the stored token. Your selected account, audiences and campaigns are kept. The Audiences page shows the same expiry warning and its own Reconnect button.

Connect Meta Ads

1

Open Integrations

Go to Settings → Developers → Integrations and scroll to Ad Platforms.
2

Sign in with Facebook

On the Meta Ads card, click Connect Meta Ads and approve the permissions Meta asks for. They include access to your ad accounts, your Facebook Pages and lead-form leads. Campaigns need the Page permissions to publish ads, and lead capture needs them to read leads.
3

Choose the ad account

Under Ad account, pick the ad account and click the check-mark button to save it.
4

Accept Meta's Custom Audience Terms

If the ad account hasn’t accepted Meta’s Custom Audience Terms, the card warns you. Click Accept Meta’s terms, accept them in Meta Business Manager, then click Re-check. When the terms are in place you’ll see “Terms accepted — you’re all set.”
Until the Custom Audience Terms are accepted, Meta refuses to create or fill audiences for that ad account.

When the Meta connection needs renewing

A Meta connection lasts about 60 days, and Meta can also revoke it earlier. A workspace connected before Ad Studio added the Page and lead permissions also has to reconnect before it can publish from a Page or capture leads. You’ll see this as:
  • “Your Meta connection predates Page access. Reconnect Meta Ads to publish from a Page.” in the campaign editor
  • a publish error saying the access token is no longer valid
  • Reconnect Meta in the lead capture dialog
To reconnect, click Reconnect on the Meta Ads card on the Integrations page. The Facebook sign-in runs again, and your ad account, audiences and campaigns are kept. The lead capture dialog’s Reconnect Meta button does the same.
Don’t use Disconnect to renew a connection. Disconnecting removes the connection and every audience mapping for that platform. The audiences themselves stay in your ad account, but InstantCampaign stops syncing them. The Disconnect confirmation says so too.

Disconnect an ad platform

Click Disconnect on the platform’s card and confirm. This removes the connection and all its audience mappings from InstantCampaign. Audiences that already exist in your Google Ads or Meta ad account are not deleted. Pause or archive running campaigns before you disconnect, because InstantCampaign can no longer control them afterwards.
