Gmail (AI Overview and AI Inbox) and Apple Mail on iOS 26 (Apple Intelligence) now show a short AI summary of an email, and on iPhone the summary replaces your preheader in the message list. These summaries read the body of the email, not the subject line. If the body is mostly images, or your offer sits below a long introduction, the summary can leave it out. InstantCampaign checks every email for this before you send it and gives it a summary score out of 100.

Where to find it

  • Campaign plan page: the AI inbox card under Ready to send shows each email’s score and warnings. See Campaign strategist.
  • Email builder: open the Deliverability score panel from the toolbar. The AI inbox section is below the audit.

What is checked

These checks are warnings only. They never stop you from approving or sending a campaign. Price, discount and date detection works on English copy. Other languages still get the other checks.

Preview the summary

Click Preview summary to see:
  • a Gmail AI Overview-style summary (one or two sentences)
  • an Apple Intelligence-style one-line summary
  • the facts, such as a price or deadline, that the summaries left out
  • an updated score and the reasons for it
The preview uses one AI text generation from your monthly allowance. If you preview the same content again, the saved result is shown and nothing more is used. If your allowance is used up, or the AI model doesn’t answer, you still get the score from the checks. In the builder, the preview uses the saved version of the template, so save your changes first.
The summaries are a simulation. Gmail and Apple don’t publish their summarisers, so the exact wording in a real inbox will differ. The checks point at what makes any summary drop your message: no live text, and important details placed too low.

Who can use it

Everyone who can see the plan page sees the warnings. Preview summary needs permission to edit campaigns.

Tips

  • Put the offer, the price and the deadline in the first paragraph, in live text.
  • Add a preheader that states the offer.
  • Keep a call-to-action link near the top. You can repeat it lower down.
  • Give the hero image alt text that says what the image says.
