Everything about how your email performed lives under Analytics in the sidebar. This page covers the email reports. For visits to your website, see Website analytics and tracking. Every role can read analytics.

Overview

Analytics → Overview shows delivery and engagement across campaigns and journeys.
  • Filters: pick a Period and narrow to Campaigns or Journeys. Active filters appear as chips. Remove one with its × or use Clear all.
  • Headline numbers: emails sent, Delivered, Open rate, clicks and Bounce rate, each compared with the previous period (“vs previous N days”).
  • Send performance chart: dashed lines mark campaign sends, journey launches and your notes. Use Add note to mark something that explains a spike or a dip, such as a launch, a DNS change or a new provider.
  • Breakdowns: Delivery status, Top links, Recipient domains and Sources. Click a delivery status twice to open the Message log filtered to that status.
  • Campaign reports: one row per campaign. Click a row to open that campaign’s report.
  • Export: download Export All Sends (CSV), Export Opens (CSV), Export Clicks (CSV), Export Bounces (CSV) or Export All (JSON). Only Owners and Administrators can export. Other roles see the buttons, but the download is refused.
Opens that come through Gmail’s image proxy count as real opens. Automated link scanners don’t block or replace a real person’s open. Open counts include re-opens. Unique opens are shown separately.

A single campaign’s report

Open it from a row in Campaign reports, or from the campaign itself. The report shows:
  • Opens and clicks over time, with the delivery breakdown (Delivered, bounced, skipped and failed) for each send.
  • Top links: clicks on each URL in the campaign. Use Show click heatmap to see where people clicked on the email itself.
  • Where this campaign landed: the recipient mailbox domains.
  • A/B test results for split-test campaigns: each variant’s open and click rates, the Winner by open or click rate, the confidence and lift over the runner-up. If there’s no significant difference, it says so and shows which variant was sent to the rest.
  • Goals, when the campaign has conversion goals: conversions and revenue attributed to the campaign when the goal followed an open or a click within the conversion window. Goals that followed only an open are shown as View-through (weaker evidence).
  • Website traffic from the campaign, if you’ve installed website tracking.
In Top links, click Segment people who clicked this on any row. This creates a normal segment with the rule “clicked this link in this campaign”, and you can send to it like any other segment. It appears under Contacts → Segments.
The old Click Segments page has moved. Link segments now live with all your other segments, and old bookmarks redirect there.

Message Log

Analytics → Message Log lists every email the workspace sent, what happened to it, and what that recipient’s copy was rendered with. Messages tab. Filter by recipient, Status (delivered, sent, bounced, complained, failed, skipped) and Source (Campaigns, Journeys, or Transactional for mail sent through the API). Click a message to see:
  • a Timeline of what happened: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced
  • Rendered with: the personalisation values used for that recipient
  • the raw provider payloads
  • for API-sent mail, a link to the API request that created it
Provider events tab. The raw delivery, bounce and complaint events reported by your provider or the platform. Filter by provider and event type.

Bounce Management

Analytics → Bounce Management lists every contact whose address bounced, with the campaign and the Bounce Date. Bounced contacts are suppressed and don’t receive campaigns. Owners and administrators can click Reactivate to set a contact back to active, for example after the recipient fixed their mailbox. Only reactivate an address when you have reason to believe it works again. Repeated bounces hurt your reputation. See Deliverability.

Compare Campaigns

1

Pick sends

Open Analytics → Compare Campaigns and tick between 2 and 5 sends in the Select Sends panel.
2

Compare

Click Compare. Each send’s audience, emails sent, opens, clicks and bounces appear side by side, with Open Rate, Click Rate and Bounce Rate bars.

Annotations

The markers on analytics charts come from two places:
  • Automatic: every campaign send and journey activation adds a marker by itself.
  • Notes: anything else you add by hand.
Analytics → Annotations lists them with All, Notes, Campaigns and Journeys tabs and a period filter (last 30 days, 90 days, 12 months or all time). It shows up to 500 markers, newest first. Click Add a note, describe What happened and When, and save. Every role except Viewer can add and remove markers. Markers also appear on the website traffic charts.

Troubleshooting

Check that Email opens tracking and Email clicks tracking are on under Settings → General. With click tracking off, links go direct, so clicks can’t be counted. See Workspace settings.
Delivery confirmations come from your provider’s webhooks. If you connected your own provider, make sure its webhooks are registered. See Email sending providers.
